The only barrier i see is money. It costs money to make money. In Arkansas, at least, you have to buy the book, and taking the written tests are charged as well. Even after all that studying to pass those written tests, as far as i have researched, there are no academys in my state or neighboring states that company sponsors will go through. You need to be prepared for a long road to get a cdl

Ive been thinking about becoming a tanker driver, ive heard thats where the real money is at. Im OTR dry van right now, about 4 months in, and I wanna be doing this for at least a year; does my time driving dry van count as qualification to get a better tanker company off rip, or is that in its own category where id be starting from scratch?
